JSON-LD Structured Data Generator

Assemble a ready-to-use schema.org structured-data block in JSON-LD format for typical WordPress page elements: an article, a local business, an FAQ section, an organization and breadcrumbs. Pick a type, fill in the fields and copy the code into the <head> section. Everything is computed in your browser. A practical complement to WordPress technical SEO.

E.g.:
Home | https://example.com/
Knowledge base | https://example.com/know-how/

Paste the block into the <head> of the page it describes. After deploying, check its validity in Google's Rich Results Test. The data must match the actual content of the page.

What structured data is and why to use it

Structured data is a description of a page's content in the standardized schema.org vocabulary, which lets a search engine unambiguously understand what the content is: an article, a local business, a list of questions, or a product. On that basis Google can display a rich result (rich snippet): expandable FAQ questions, business contact details, breadcrumbs, or author and date information. Rich results take up more space and catch the eye, which improves visibility and click-through. Structured data also helps AI search engines interpret and cite content correctly, which is why today it is an element not only of classic but also of modern SEO in the age of AI.

The most commonly used schema types

Article For blog posts and articles. Conveys the title, author, date and description. Supports showing author information and content freshness.
LocalBusiness For businesses operating locally. Conveys the name, address, phone and website. A pillar of local SEO and of consistent business data across the web.
FAQPage For question-and-answer sections. Lets expandable questions appear directly in Google's results. The content must genuinely be on the page.
Organization For the company site as a whole: name, logo, social profiles (sameAs). Helps build brand recognition in search.
BreadcrumbList Navigation breadcrumbs. They show the path to the page in results and support understanding of the site's structure, which ties into content architecture.

Frequently asked questions about structured data

A standardized description of content in the schema.org vocabulary that helps search engines understand what a page is. Thanks to it you can earn rich results: review stars, expandable FAQ or business details.

The format for structured data recommended by Google. It is placed in a separate script tag, independent of the visible content. It is readable and easy to maintain, unlike Microdata and RDFa.

The simplest way is through an SEO plugin. A custom JSON-LD block is inserted manually in the head section or in the content. After deploying, check its validity in Google's Rich Results Test.

No. It is a necessary condition, but Google decides on its own whether to show a rich result. The data must reflect the actual content of the page, otherwise a manual penalty is possible.

No. The JSON-LD code is assembled in your browser. The content you enter is never sent or stored anywhere beyond your device.

Tool and write-up: Marcin Szewczyk-Wilgan, WebOptimo. Schema conforms to the schema.org vocabulary and Google's guidelines for rich results. The generator runs in your browser, with no data sent.
